Julian is co-founder and CEO of DrinkCaddy, which is a startup that builds autonomous beverage delivery systems for golf courses. His background is in electrical engineering and he has worked with all stages of the engineering process from design to production for some of the leading government contractors in the United States. At BAE Systems, he has designed circuits for multiple architectures, test boxes, supported testing and characterizing modules for signal size and type, and lead the electrical design of High Power Amplifier (HPA) modules. During his time at Lockheed Martin, he supported the production phase of multiple RF products, troubleshooted and evaluated modules to ensure proper operation and delivery and investigated methods to improve efficiency and prevent future product issues. While at MITRE, he mostly worked with superheterodyne receivers. He designed a preliminary receiver architecture based on a track-and-hold amplifier as well as tested and characterized superheterodyne receivers for parameters such as compression, signal-to-noise ratio, and linearity. At every company he has worked for, he is known to deeply care about his team and is known to mentor junior engineers as well as train and assist technicians. In 2013, he graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2014, he graduated from WPI with an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In September of 2020, he began his MBA at Babson College. Although he is an engineer at heart, Julian also loves sports and outdoor activities such as snowboarding and playing water polo. With his deep technical knowledge combined with the desire to create better player experiences, has allowed him to create a system that will make an impact on the industry.
Elizabeth is co-founder and CTO of DrinkCaddy, which is a startup that builds autonomous beverage delivery systems for golf courses. Previously, she was the founder and CEO of Zulubots, an education, consulting, and design company that helps schools establish robotics and engineering programs while also consulting small business and corporations on how to automate and integrate robotic technologies either by integrating existing technologies or designing custom solutions. Elizabeth founded DrinkCaddy with her brother, Julian, in 2020 and founded Zulubots in September of 2015. Elizabeth’s background and experience are in robotics engineering. In 2012, she graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with a BS in Robotics Engineering. In 2014, she graduated from WPI with an MS in Robotics Engineering. She first discovered robotics at the age of 14 and was a member of the team which became the Professional Division Champion in 2009. She then assisted the team which won a NASA Centennial Competition in fall of 2009, and in 2013 she worked with the Track C Team from WPI that participated in the DARPA Robotics Challenge. In June of 2015, she mentored a team of high school girls who competed in the latest BattleBots competition which aired on ABC. Since the founding of Zulubots, she has worked with many clients and differing industries including the flower industry, the cigar industry, and the beer industry. Since 2015, has competed in many pitch competitions and been recognized by Babson College’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership, the Miami Herald, and the Small Business Administration’s Emerging Leaders program. In November of 2020, Elizabeth released a book STEAM Powered Girls, which encouraging middle and high school girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM).
